From Centraal Station

As you emerge from Amsterdam Centraal Station immediately to your left is a tram stop. From there you can take either tram ‘16’ or ‘24’, one of which leaves every 5 minutes. Both these trams will take you directly to the ’Marie Heineken Plein’, the square in front of O’Donnells, in roughly 15 minutes. Listen out for the ‘Stadhouderskade’ stop, located at the beginning of the ‘Ferdinand Bolstraat’. This tram stop is also used for the famous Heineken Museum Experience.

Albert Cuyp Market
Leaving O’Donnells, as you step out onto the ‘Ferdinand Bolstraat’ turn left and carry on down the street for 300 m and it’s the third street on the left. Open from 9:30 am to about 5 pm, Monday to Saturdays, the ‘Albert Cuyp’ Market is one of Amsterdam’s most charming and well known out door markets attracting many thousands of people daily who flock to it for everything from fruit, vegetables, and cheeses to cheap clothes, cosmetics and bedding.

Museumplein
Leaving O’Donnells, turn right onto the ‘Ferdinand Bolstraat’ and walk down to the ‘Stadhouderskade’. Take a left and carry on for 600 m on the ‘Stadhouderskade’. You cannot miss the Rijksmuseum situated on your left, behind which is the Museumplein where you will also find the Van Gogh Museum, the Stedelijk Museum and the Concertgebouw.

Leidseplein
Leaving O’Donnells, turn right onto the ‘Ferdinand Bolstraat’ , cross over the ‘Stadhouderskade’, walk over the bridge and turn left down the ‘Weteringschans’. If you walk for a further 800 m you will arrive at the Leidseplein a famous tourist area full to busting with bars, shops, restaurants and clubs.
